The Mission of Boys To Men is to reduce interpersonal violence by offering programs that: • Support the healthy development of adolescent boys • Provide assistance and educational resources to boys and those who help raise them •Increase community awareness about the specific needs of boys.

Breaking Ground

Breaking Ground envisions a Cameroon in which communities are independently able to address their most basic, pressing needs. This can only happen by empowering motivated Cameroonian communities with the resources they need to achieve their own solutions. We seek out these communities after they have independently prioritized a need, collectively decided upon a solution to that need, and have begun actively working towards achieving that solution, but whose progress is held up by a lack of funding.

I am honored to serve the people of Maine’s First Congressional District, and I am committed to running an open and accessible office. We are at a difficult point in our nation’s history and we face serious challenges in Maine and across the country. But we also have some great opportunities to change our country and get us back on track. I’m confident that together we will face those challenges and bring about the change we need.

City of Portland

Portland is Maine's business, financial and retail capital and the largest city in the state. Seascapes and cityscapes blend harmoniously in Portland, perched on a peninsula, jutting out into island-studded Casco Bay. The metropolitan hub of Maine's south coast region, Portland is a progressive, lively city incorporating the character of yesteryear into a modern urban environment. Historic architecture blends gracefully with the new as you stroll along her working waterfront or the cobblestone streets of the restored Old Port section of the city. With a metro population of 230,000, the Greater Portland area is home to almost one quarter of Maine's total population. The population of the city is 64,000.

Common Good Ventures

Common Good Ventures offers nonprofits a full range of capacity-building services. We offer a continuum of services, ranging from long-term to short-term engagements. We encourage - and have in-depth experience facilitating - collaborations between individual organizations. Since its founding in 2000, Common Good Ventures has helped over 150 Maine nonprofit clients increase their capacity to carry out their missions.

Creative Trails

Creative Trails is an innovative community support program for adults with intellectual disabilities. It incorporates artistic (CREATE), agricultural (CULTIVATE), outdoor experiential (TRAILS), culinary arts (YUM) and art leadership (STUDIO 225/SHOOT MEDIA PROJECT) programs to encompass new and creative ways to address many peoples interests. We offer the participants choices, sophisticated opportunities and integration to help support and guide them to becoming more interdependent. By realizing their potential through experiences of the mind, body, and spirit each individual will live a more meaningful and fulfilling life.

Decompression Chamber Music

An informal classical chamber music series designed to appeal to all, from beginners to enthusiasts. Each lively one-hour concert includes insightful discussion, demonstration, and performance of great chamber music masterpieces.

ecomaine

ecomaine is a non-profit waste management company owned and operated by 21 municipalities in Southern Maine. With the additional 18 contracted communities, ecomaine provides services to a combined population of 320,000. We are dedicated supporters of recycling and environmental protection, as evidenced by our ISO 14001 certification for excellence in environmental management at each of our three facilities.

First Baptist Church

The purpose of First Baptist Church is to lead people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ. First Baptist Church is a congregation of nearly 800 people coming together to grow in Christ. We offer several worship service options, numerous Small Group home meetings, service opportunities, children's programs, student ministries, college ministries, missions programs, programs for seniors and a young adult ministry program.

Friends of Evergreen is a nonprofit organization that supports the preservation of and public interest in Evergreen Cemetery in Portland, Maine.

Friends of The Kotzschmar Organ

The Friends of the Kotzschmar Organ (FOKO), is a non-profit organization, that supports the Kotzschmar Organ. FOKO is responsible for the care and maintenance of the organ and provides funds to produce and promote concerts, maintain, repair and enhance the organ, sponsor lectures and organ demonstrations and tours and supports a growing education program to bring awareness and understanding of this musical gem of Portland.

Kids First Center

Separation and divorce. As painful as it is for parents, it's the kids who may pay the highest price - the hurt can last a lifetime. But it doesn't have to be that way and that's where the Kids First Center comes in. Providing practical information and support, our programs include: Classes and groups for parents to learn how to put the needs of their children first while dealing with the legal and financial pressures of divorce and separation. Support groups for children and adolescents, so that they have a place to talk about their feelings and learn how to cope with the many changes taking place. Workshops and conferences for professionals: attorneys, mental health professionals and court officials - to share insights into the impact of separation and divorce on children.

Maine Charitable Mechanic Association

he Maine Charitable Mechanic Association was founded in 1815 as a craftsman’s guild to teach and promote excellence among Portland’s various mechanical and artistic trades. Today, the Association has about 300 members who have the use of the historic library on Congress Street and may attend events including readings by local and national authors and travel lectures presented by producers of films from around the world

Program goals: Ensure that stroke patients receive the highest quality and most efficient care when they arrive at MaineHealth hospitals Develop coordinated processes for stroke patients who are transferred between MaineHealth hospitals Support state and local efforts to educate the public on how to prevent strokes.

What is OMTV? OMTV is a journal of the "occupy" movement in Maine. We want to share the real story of the people, for the people, and by the people. OMTV documents the struggle of the 99%, our fight against corporate sociopathic greed, environmental devastation, and this puppet governments grifting our civil rights. (Just to name a few).

Paideia of Maine Hellenic Society

Paideia of Maine is a non profit organization that promotes Hellenism in general, including but not limited to, Greek language, culture, education and religion and assists universities, schools, organizations and individuals with research, resources and guidance in the foregoing. Paideia was established as a service to Greeks and Greek Americans living in Maine with the goal to preserve the Greek language and culture. The Paideia of Maine board is striving to offer events to educate, enrich and entertain people of Greek heritage and those interested in the Greek culture.

Portland Arts & Cultural Alliance

Portland Arts & Cultural Alliance (PACA) is a non-profit 501 c 3 organization with a mission of “Strengthening Portland by strengthening the Arts.” PACA was formed in 1985 by the arts and cultural leaders of Portland including the Maine College of Art, the Portland Museum of Art, the Portland Symphony Orchestra, PCA Great Performances, Portland Stage Company, the Portland Public Library, and the Maine Historical Society. In 1997 PACA was designated Portland’s Local Arts Agency by City Council Resolution.

Portland North Land Trust Collaborative

The Collaborative's objective is to strengthen regional land conservation by coordinating and integrating the goals of the individual member land trusts and developing synergistic collaboration.

Portland Public Library

The library mission is to serve the Greater Portland Community by providing a diverse collection of books and other resources, with access to information resources worldwide. The library's services  support the educational, informational, and recreational interests of all community members.

Portland Trails

Portland Trails is a non-profit urban land trust dedicated to building a network of multi-use trails in the Greater Portland (ME) area.

Rippleffect

The mission of Rippleffect is to promote positive youth and community development through learning adventures in living classrooms. Rippleffect envisions a Maine community where youth and adults are engaged, healthy in mind, body, and spirit, and sensitive to diversity in their social and natural environment.

South Portland

The City of South Portland is a coastal community in southern Maine encompassing an area of 12.93 square miles. The city has been referred to as two cities, with the western half of the city hosting commercial, industrial and advanced technology property and the eastern half of the city sporting a community college, a beach area, several parks, one of the State’s largest marinas, a municipal boat ramp, a maritime museum and the second busiest oil port on the entire East Coast.

Southern Maine Community College

 For over 60 years, Southern Maine Community College has had a rich history of educating and preparing Maine people for jobs vital to Maine’s economic prosperity. In the last decade, the College has successfully transitioned into a high quality, comprehensive community college. With more than 40 degree and certificate programs and serving over 7,000 students, we are the largest and most diverse institutions of the Maine Community College System. As the fastest growing community college in New England, SMCC has literally changed the lives of hundreds of thousands of students.

St. Lawrence Arts Center

The St. Lawrence Arts Center's mission is to restore the historic St. Lawrence Church and return it to use as an arts center. The St. Lawrence has a 3-part mission: Creating an affordable and accessible venue for a diverse offerings of art; adding activity, entertainment and cultural enrichment to the surrounding neighborhood of Munjoy Hill; and rehabilitating this local and national landmark.

University of Southern Maine

The institution now known as the University of Southern Maine (USM) has been many things to many people since first opening its doors to the public in late December of 1878. A regional normal school. A state teachers college. A junior business college. An extension of the state’s land grant institution. One of seven institutions created through a merger of Gorham State Teachers College and the University of Maine at Portland as part of a newly created University of Maine System.
