Quimby Family Foundation Grant

Community Television Network is the proud recipient of a 2011 Quimby Family Foundation Grant.

 CTN in collaboration with Portland Symphony Orchestra, Portland Museum of Art, Portland Ballet, PACA, and Portland Stage will be creating a program specifically for the arts called Spotlight, the purpose of which is to introduce new audiences to local arts. Additionally, it will help people and businesses outside of Maine, who are thinking of relocating, to realize the rich creative economy in Maine.

  Roxanne Quimby, a businesswoman, environmentalist, and philanthropist, formed the Quimby Family Foundation in 2004.

 The mission of the family foundation is to advance wilderness values and to increase access to the arts throughout Maine.

 Among the 70 non-profit organizations to receive the 2011 grants were several members of Community Television Network, including, Rippleffect, Friends of Eastern Prom, PACA, and Maine Audubon.
